Kasperson Week 18

In Forensics, Psychology, Science - 7th Grade, Science - 8th Grade

Good afternoon,

I can’t believe we are heading into the holiday season and into 2022! It’s going to be a great year!

Science Fair/ Stem-fest Updates:

Students are working on the background research for their projects this week. The schedule for Stem/Science Fair says that students will start writing their reports for their project. However, my 7th and 8th grade science students will not be writing their reports until late January, so if they say they don’t have to write part 1 this month they are not lying to you! 😉

Here is a link to the website that gives all necessary information for the Stem-fest/ Science fair.

A helpful note: Most of these projects will be completed outside of class. They are not designed to be time-consuming or expensive. There will be a few days closer to the deadline in which students can wrap up their projects during class. For any questions, feel free to contact Michelle Tischer at mtischer@santancs.com

What Students Are Learning:

Psychology: Students will be continuing to learn about classical conditioning.

7th Science: Students will begin their new unit about electromagnetism and gravitational forces.

8th Science: Students will begin their new unit about natural hazards such as volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis.

Forensics: Students will begin learning about fingerprints.
